Here the original Nikon forest images were minimally improved using AI since the forest is very dark – specially these 2013 images before Hurricane Maria in 2017 have had over 10 years to grow the canopy and absorb most of the sunlight.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese photographs were taken by \u003cb\u003eRaul Garcia\u003c\/b\u003e with a \u003cb\u003eCannon Rebel (Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSi)\u003c\/b\u003e, capturing the forest’s intricate textures—leaves, roots, rivers, moss, and light.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlso since the forest is so dark most images used ISO 800 (no flash or light) – which gives a lower resolution and needed correction.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn  \u003cb\u003e2013 The explorations focused on the best access to the PRISTINE  forest – the 5 miles Tradewinds trail\u003c\/b\u003e. This is the first of 2 such explorations in Jan 2013. It goes from PR 191 near the gate on top to the top of El Toro.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis trail is the best of El Yunque and we produced over 1,759 high-resolution images for that time.
