Because the rainforest here is before Hurricane Maria in 2017 - historic images - when the forest canopy was thick and below is VERY DARK. 

Pristine Forest - and river. No trails - only can get here by following the streams...

WHAT THIS FOREST SHOWS:

It has a clear ying/yang message - the balance of life and death. This forest is full of growth and decay. Trees has all kinds of plants growing on them due to the humidity - but there are also many decaying trees or leaves/trunks on the ground - all around the river...The variety of plants is over 250 species and we see it well on these prints! Enjoy...

Even now we can see it is dark - there is no attempt to change this truth...

This forest is very dense and it is hard for people to be able to interpret the images properly -  but the style of HENRI ROSSEAU made it far simpler and easy to grasp - an amazing change with the new AI Tech to improve very difficult images!!

Its like this 18-century painter visited this section of El Yunque and here we are!

1-real Nikon forest images - high resolution - 45MP - and 

2-processing by the style of Henri Rosseau -

Any subset of the collection would make a UNIQUE and amazing wall print set  - specially as they are all related in the same forest area - where the river starts flowing. A set of them is like waking in this unique region of El Yunque rainforest.

The rain here is about 180 inches per year, humidity 99%.

It took me (and my son Jose) 21 days to get here - 3 sets of a week each - since this explorations had to be step by step and marking the way not to get lost.

There are other prints of the actual images in the other framed print collections.

We have documented the full evolution of the river - ravines, water under the boulders, landslides, then this section were water flows visibly and then as the land gets steep more erosion and large boulders come up until a huge pond...

The it moves among boulders and creates a huge canyon in granite then to the road and the ocean.
